Lecture examines ancient Inca sites

Inca Sites in Peru will be the topic of a lecture at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, sponsored by the Department of Geography at California State University, Fresno, and the Fresno County Archaeological Society and Archaeological Institute of America.

Fresno State geography professor Dr. James S. Kus will speak on “Six Interesting Inca Sites: Ollantaytambo, Pisac, Moray, Tipon, Raqchi and Huaytara” in the Alice Peters Auditorium in the University Business Center.

Kus, president of the Fresno County Archaeological Society, will talk about several of the ancient sites he has visited during his more than seven years of research in Peru.

The lecture is free and open to the public. Parking restrictions will be relaxed in the UBC portion of Lot J.
