Blackhawk choppers will land at Fresno State this morning

Blackhawk choppers will land at Fresno State this morning

Two Army Blackhawk helicopters will descend in front of the North Gym at California State University, Fresno Friday (April 20) to conduct helicopter air assault training for Army ROTC cadets.

The aircraft will land on the intramural field at 8:30 a.m. Cadets will be briefed on the aircraft and trained on loading and unloading procedures before boarding the craft for flight to Fort Hunter Liggett near the coast to conduct the ROTC’s Spring Field Training Exercise. 
The aircraft will return at about 10:30 a.m. to pick up a second group of cadets.


“This is part of their leadership training in becoming future officers,” said Lt. Col. Mike Busteed, commander of the Fresno State ROTC and professor of military science in the Craig School of Business.
