A gas line break about noon in the northeast area of the Fresno State campus has forced traffic detours on Barstow Avenue. There is no danger to public safety.

Pacific Gas and Electric crews are working at the site near Barstow and Maple avenues and the Fresno Fire Department is also at the scene.

Both eastbound and westbound traffic is detoured, but no significant traffic delays are expected.

The road is expected to reopen later today.
