Award-winning novelist and essayist Page Stegner will speak to the Friends of the Madden Library at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 25 in the Alice Peters Auditorium at Fresno State.

Stegner’s topic is “Adios Amigos: Writing about the Environmental West” and is part of the group’s “Writers of Western America” yearlong theme.

A reception at 6 p.m. precedes Stegner’s presentation. Reservations are required by Jan. 24 at 559.278.5790. Admission is free to Friends members; $2 general and $1 students at the door.
