California State University,
Fresno’s Wellness@Work program has won a bronze award from the
California Fit Business Award.
Wellness@Work is a program offered by Human Resources through the Office
of Employee Assistance and Wellness. The goal of the Wellness@Work
program is to promote healthy lifestyle habits by providing an
educational, supportive environment and a variety of programs
encompassing the different aspects of wellness. It envisions a healthy
Fresno State work force setting a positive example for our students and
the entire community.
The California Fit Business Award was launched in 2003 and recognizes
private and nonprofit companies across California that promote a
healthier workplace. Winners are selected based on the extent of their
health and wellness programs; the quality and focus of their policies;
the involvement of their leadership; the impact of their endeavors; and
the reasons given for having wellness programs.
California Fit Business Award is a joint effort between the California
Task Force on Youth and Workplace Wellness and the California Department
of Health Services’ 5 a Day – Be Active Worksite Program.
