Fresno State presents seminars at Ag Expo ’08 |

The International Center for Water Technology at California State University, Fresno and the Irrigation Association will present several seminars at the 40th annual World Ag Expo, which runs Feb. 12-14 in Tulare. Fresno State College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Ag Ambassadors, students enrolled in the college, will assist in advance at the Fresno-Yosemite International Airport this weekend greeting Ag Expo participants. The ambassadors also will staff Fresno State booths in Pavilion C during the show with displays of student products from the University Farm, Farm Market and Floral Lab. From 8:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Feb. 12, Fresno State’s water center will present a pump efficiency and chemigation seminar at the AgTAC building. A free continental breakfast will be provided beginning at 8 a.m. with a free ticket to the World Ag Expo at the end of the event. Space is limited. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, the water sessions will highlight the latest in irrigation and water-use technology. All seminars are free with Ag Expo admission and are in the Seminar Center on the southeast corner of Median Street and East Greenbelt, between P and Q streets.
The College of Ag has
exhibits in Pavilion C, Spaces 3910 and 3911. Ag Ambassadors will greet
the public, present information about Fresno State’s ag education
programs and provide games with special Bulldog prizes for children.
Fresno State’s farm
laboratory consists of a 1,000 acre farm that provides a practical,
hands-on experience to students. Student produced products are available
to the community through the Farm Market on campus, as well as through
selected retail outlets.
