Participants in the seventh
annual Fresno State Winemaster’s Weekend at Tenaya Lodge enjoyed
workshops, presentations and good food and wine Friday and Saturday
(Feb. 29-March 1).

State viticulture enology chair Dr. Robert Wample (far right) pose with
winners of the wine blending competition Saturday evening. The
participants formed into several teams and blended their own wines that
were judged by the enologists who presented workshops Saturday afternoon
and morning. The winning team, "The Wine Musicians" was announced at the
gala banquet. They won a Double Gold for their Super Tuscan blend,
“Bella Crescendo.” They are: Michael Rockwell, kneeling; McCann, Shellee
Rockwell, Gayle Evans, Linda McAlexander, Terry Rohlfes, Liz Bunting and
Wample. In the back row, Rick Evans and Chuck McAlexander.
