California State University,
Fresno on Thursday, April 3, celebrates the launch of its
state-of-the-art biomedical research facility, where researchers can
take advantage of new technologies to study health issues.
A 1 p.m. ceremony in the University Business Center will feature
comments from dignitaries from around the state. A reception will follow
at 4 p.m.
The research facility is made possible by a $4.5 million Research
Infrastructure for Minority Institutions grant. Fresno State is one of
19 universities in the country – and two in California – to receive the
award from the National Center on Minority Health and Health
Disparities, a center of the National Institutes on Health.
