The men’s and women’s bowling teams at California State University, Fresno are in Wichita, Kan., preparing for the 2008 U.S. Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championship tournament Wednesday-Saturday, April 16-19.

Bowling is a club sport at Fresno State.

This will be the men’s seventh straight championship tournament appearance. Last year, Bulldog bowler P.J. Haggerty was named Collegiate Player of the Year and became the first individual to win three MVP awards and the second to win the Bowling Writers Association honor three times.

This year to help prepare for the championship, the team held a Bulldog Baker Challenge, inviting others to challenge both teams with half the proceeds donated to Fresno State Bowling.
