Immigration Film Series offering May 3

The Immigration Film Series at California State University, Fresno will present “Children of Men” at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 3, in McLane Hall, Room 161.

The 109-minute movie, which is free and open to the public, stars Clive Owen, Julianne Moore, Michael Caine, Juan Gabriel Yacuzzi and Mishal Husain. A discussion will follow the screening.

Released in 2007, the film portrays how humankind faces the likelihood of its own extinction and a disillusioned government agent agrees to help transport and protect a pregnant woman to a sanctuary at sea where her child's birth may help scientists to save the future of mankind.

The film series is sponsored by Fresno State’s Central Valley Latin American Project, the Chicano and Latin American Studies Department and the College of Social Sciences.
