Two veteran public school
educators, Dr. Linda Hauser and Dr. Ginny Boris, will join the Kremen
School of Education at California State University, Fresno in the fall,
Kremen Dean Paul Beare announced.
Hauser, Fresno Unified School District Chief Academic Officer, will join
the school as an assistant professor in the Educational Research and
Administration Department. She will be teaching coursework in the
Educational Administration Graduate Program.
Boris, who is retiring from her position of associate superintendent of
curriculum and instruction with Clovis Unified, will be the co-director
of the Central Valley Educational Leadership Institute based at Fresno
State. Boris will be a faculty member in Educational Administration and
teach in the Doctoral Program in Education Leadership.
“The experience and skill of these two academic leaders will bring a
wealth of knowledge to our programs,” said Beare. “We are extremely
happy to add such high caliber leaders to our already excellent
Educational Administration and Leadership faculty.”
Hauser played a key role in the development of Fresno Unified’s Targeted
Improvement Actions, along with many other initiatives that were
designed to help school leaders and teachers prepare career-ready
graduates. She joined Superintendent Michael Hanson’s senior leadership
team in June 2006. Hanson commended Hauser as an outstanding leader and
educator and lauded her “lifelong commitment to public education.”
Clovis Unified Superintendent Dr. Terry Bradley said, "Ginny has been a
major part of our success since she was hired as a math teacher at
Clovis High School more than 35 years ago. Not only has it been my
pleasure to work with Ginny, but an honor to work with her in the
establishment of an outstanding curriculum and instructional division
that has obtained an outstanding reputation around the state and nation
for its services to students."
