CSU Summer Arts’ month long
course on short film production and post production will provide an
opportunity for the public to get an insider’s view of the movie
industry from a panel of film writers and producers.
The panel discussion about how to maneuver the labyrinth of Hollywood’s
media machine is scheduled at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the Wahlberg
Recital Hall in the Music Building at California State University,
Fresno campus.
Scheduled to participate are Michael Berlin (“Miami Vice,” “The Commish”),
Alan Jacobs (founding trustee of the Sundance Institute), Matthew Jacobs
(“Lassie,” “Young Indiana Jones Chronicles”), John Schimmel (“Collateral
Damage,” “Only Hope Outlander”) and Jule Selbo (“Hard Promises,”
“Melrose Place”).
Others on the second-week lineup of CSU Summer Arts’ public performances
during its 23rd season and 11th at Fresno State are:

Tim Grey, who lectures
and teaches about digital photography and has written dozens of
books on the subject. He will speak at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at the
Fresno Art Museum in central Fresno.
-

Dark, who are internationally recognized slam poetry artists and
