“Be a Leader: Lead the Change” is the theme of the 27th annual African-American Student Recruitment Conference scheduled 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at California State University, Fresno’s Satellite Student Union.

Jamal Jones, who played football at Fresno State and is now the team’s chaplain, will be the keynote speaker.

Jones, a native of Oakland, graduated from Fresno State in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in speech communication and now is in full-time sports ministry with the Fellowship for Christian Athletes.
