Fresno State Lyles Center Entrepreneur Mentorship Program students have extended the deadline for entering the Lyles Center’s 4th annual business plan competition. They also are planning a fundraising event to benefit the contest.

The new deadline is April 3 for students seeking cash awards that total $25,000.

The students who are involved in the organizing and raising funds for the competition are the top 20 entrepreneur students and receive credit and a grade for the course. The competition serves as their final project.

A poker tournament fundraiser will be held April 2 at the Public House. A no-host cocktail hour is from 5-6 p.m. and the tournament from 6 p.m. to midnight. Buy-in is $100 and re-buys are $50.

The first-place tournament winner will receive more than $1,000 in prizes; second place a $100 gift certificate to the Public House; third place a Fresno State sweatshirt and hat.
