ANCA, the Arne Nixon Center Advocates at California State University, Fresno, will host its seventh annual Secret Garden Party from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, April 19 in Fresno. The “secret” location will be revealed to attendees upon registration.

This year’s party honors author and artist, Beatrix Potter, the subject of a three-day conference being held on the same weekend at Fresno State by the Arne Nixon Center and the Beatrix Potter Society.

The Secret Garden Party is an annual fundraising effort to support programs and collections of the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children’s Literature, housed at the Henry Madden Library at Fresno State. Funds raised from previous Secret Garden Parties have helped the center to expand its collections and to host guest authors and conferences.

Individuals and companies interested in underwriting opportunities for the event are needed. Underwriters will receive memberships in ANCA in addition to tickets to the party and acknowledgements in promotional materials. Individual tickets to the Secret Garden Party are also available for purchase for $50 each.
