Latinas Empowered for Action Conference is March 6

The third annual Latinas Empowered for Action Conference at California State University, Fresno will examine physical, social, political, economic and cultural power, and how Latinas can advocate effectively for reproductive justice policies.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, March 6, at the Alice Peters Auditorium in the University Business Center at Fresno State.

The conference is sponsored by the Department of Chicano and Latin American Studies and the Women’s Studies Program at Fresno State, the Advocacy Coalition of Tulare County for Women and Girls, Fresno Barrios Unidos and Planned Parenthood-Mar Monte.

The event is hosted by the Los Angeles-based California Latinas for Reproductive Justice, a statewide organization that advances reproductive health and rights.
