A record 280 students have pre-registered for the California State University, Fresno Teacher Recruitment Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 2.

The fair will be in the New Exhibit Hall of the Fresno Convention Center in downtown Fresno.

Forty school districts are exhibiting this year, which is down by more than half over previous years. Still when the fair is held, however, organizers expect nearly 500 students. It is open to Fresno State students and alumni only.

The preregistration deadline has passed; however on-site registration is available by calling in advance for instructions and applicable costs, said Diana Dille, the university’s coordinator for education recruitment and career services in the Kremen School of Education and Human Development: 559.278.6524.
