The
Arne Nixon Center at Fresno State will host a Beatrix Potter
celebration, co-sponsored by the Beatrix Potter Society Friday through
Sunday (April 16-19) in the newly opened Henry Madden Library and at
other locations on the Fresno State campus.
Speakers and events will include:

Katherine Paterson -
Author and Newbery Medal winner for her novels “Bridge to Terabithia”
and “Jacob Have I Loved.”

Judy Taylor – Beatrix
Potter Society chairman and author of books and many other
publications related to Beatrix Potter.

Emma Laws – Frederick
Warne Curator of Children’s Literature at the National Art Library
in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Curator of the
Museum's Beatrix Potter Collection.

Selwyn Goodacre - Noted
British collector and expert on Beatrix Potter and Lewis Carroll.

Performance of “The Tale
of Jemima Puddle-Duck” musical, as produced by Fresno State Theatre
for Young Audiences and directed by J. Daniel Herring. It will be
performed Saturday at 10 a.m. and noon in the Woods Theatre of the
Speech Arts Building. Admission is free.
