Fresno State graduate students will present their work at
symposium. |
The Division of Graduate
Studies at California State University, Fresno will hold the Graduate
Research and Creative Activities Symposium Thursday, May 7, from 1- 8
p.m. in the Henry Madden Library.
The symposium will feature a keynote address by “No More Ramen” author
Nicholas Aretakis beginning at 1:15 p.m. The advice book is based on
interviews with students at colleges and technical schools across the
nation. It identifies the biggest concerns and stumbling blocks
associated with making the transition from academic life to the
workforce.
After the keynote address, poster, oral and creative arts presentations
by master’s and doctoral students will begin be held from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
and 3:45-4:45 p.m.
A reception will follow the second presentation. The event will conclude
with the doctoral student presentations from 5:30-8 p.m.
The symposium is sponsored by the Division of Graduate Studies, Doctoral
Program in Educational Leadership at Fresno State, Joint Doctoral
Program in Educational Leadership, Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy
and the Henry Madden Library.
