Jennifer
Sobieralski has been promoted to enterprise product marketing
manager/Gibson Farm Market manager for the Agricultural Foundation at
California State University, Fresno.
The move expands her job from Gibson Farm Market manager, which she has
held since August 2006, to also oversee marketing of all products
produced by students in the University Agricultural Laboratory,
including the award-winning Fresno State Wines and Estate Reserve 2007
extra virgin olive oil.
Dr. Ganesan Srinivasan, director of University Agricultural Laboratory
in the Agricultural Operations Department, said Sobieralski “will work
with student assistants and marketing interns to successfully accomplish
the goals set forth for the two enterprises and to promote the overall
marketing of Fresno State farm products.”
The move helps fill the vacancy that resulted when Jessup Wiley,
enterprise product marketing manager, left the university last month.
Sobieralski obtained her B.S. in business administration with
specialization in marketing in 2006 from the Craig School of Business at
Fresno State. Graduating magna cum laude, Sobieralski also was the
recipient of the Phillip A. & and David L. Rice “Thinking Outside the
Box” Award in 2006.
Her success as the farm market manager made Srinivasan’s choice easy.
“During her three years as Farm Market manager, Jennifer has brought in
several positive changes and improvements, enhancing the market‘s
exposure and awareness among the community through several media events,
and expanding the educational mission of the enterprise through training
programs, internships and outreach events,” Srinivasan said.
He said Farm Market revenues have jumped from under $800,000 in 2006 to
over $1.2 million this fiscal year.
