The Fresno Community Chorus – Master Chorale will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at the California State University, Fresno music department Concert Hall.

The chorus, under the direction of Fresno State music professor Dr. Anna Hamre will perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s “St. Matthew Passion.”

Tickets are $10 for students and $20 for the general public.

In addition to its regular concert season, the chorus performed for a second time at Carnegie Hall in April 2009, and will be on tour in Salzburg, Vienna, and Prague in June.

Fresno Community Chorus is a diverse group of volunteer singers from Fresno and many surrounding communities. The 100-plus membership includes physicians, lawyers, teachers, students, retirees and homemakers, in addition to professional musicians and music educators.
