Camp offers kids a chance to B.A.R.K over the summer

The Bulldog Activities and Recreational Kids (B.A.R.K) Summer Sports Camp for Central Valley children ages 6-12 will be offered at California State University, Fresno during four sessions beginning June 15.

Monday, June 8, is the deadline to register for the program offered by the Recreation Sports and Fitness Department at Fresno State.

The four sessions will run from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday in the Student Recreation Center (Woodrow and Shaw avenues) on these dates:

  • June 15-19

  • June 22-26

  • July 6-10

  • July 13-17

The camp is designed for youngsters to master new skills, be creative, foster new friendships and have a positive experience in a safe environment, said Amy Allen, customer relations coordinator for the center.

Camp staff is composed of Fresno State students studying in the fields of education, physical education and recreation.

The cost of the camp is $230 per week for the general public, $170 per week for Fresno State faculty and staff with Student Recreation Center memberships, $210 per week for Fresno State Alumni Association members and $150 per session for students with valid ID. Siblings may be enrolled for half the price.
