Anderson Kith of Fresno, an aspiring
filmmaker who graduates this week with a degree in mass communications
and journalism, captured two first place awards in video competitions
this spring at California State University, Fresno.
Kith won the third annual I am Fresno State! competition and the new
Bulldogs: Best in Show campaign video contest.
The I am Fresno State! contest is a component of the Web site
www.iamfresnostate.com, an
online portal that connects Fresno State students (past, present and
future), faculty, staff and friends by using the platforms MySpace and
Facebook. Students submit videos depicting how they or others identify
with being a member of the Fresno State community. Winning entries can
be viewed on the video sharing platform YouTube.
Kith, who placed third last year in the contest, won $400 for this
year’s top prize.
The Best in Show video contest required a 30- to 90-second presentation
showcasing academic excellence of a student or faculty member. The
campaign was created and implemented by senior public relations students
to showcase the notable academic accomplishments among students, faculty
and staff.
Kith won $200 and a trophy for the Best in Show top award.
