Community Chorus to perform Nov. 15 |
|
The Fresno Community Chorus, Master Chorale will perform at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Paul Shaghoian Concert Hall at Clovis North High School, 2770 E. International Ave. The chorus, under the direction of Fresno State music professor Dr. Anna Hamre will perform Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Requiem and Handel’s Dixit Dominus.” Tickets are $8 for students and $15 for the general public. In addition to its regular concert season, the chorus performed for a second time at Carnegie Hall in April 2009, and toured in Salzburg, Vienna and Prague in June 2009. Fresno Community Chorus is a diverse group of volunteer singers from Fresno and many surrounding communities. The 100-plus membership includes physicians, lawyers, teachers, students, retirees and homemakers, in addition to professional musicians and music educators.
