Dr. Jody Hironaka-Juteau, who chairs the Department
of Recreation Administration at California State University, Fresno,
will take on additional duties as associate dean for the College of
Health and Human Services.
Dr. Andrew Hoff, dean of the college, announced that Hironaka-Juteau
will begin her appointment on Jan. 5.
Hironaka-Juteau joined the Fresno State faculty in 1999 and has served
as department chair since 2007. Hironaka-Juteau earned bachelor’s and
master’s degrees at Fresno State and her Ed.D. from Fielding Graduate
University.
She attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education Management
Development program and other educational leadership programs and is an
alumna of the Leadership Fresno program.
At Fresno State, Hironaka-Juteau’s service includes the Academic Senate,
President's Committee on Disabilities, University Budget Committee and
Gender Equity Task Force. She is recognized for her expertise and
experience in the areas of prejudice reduction, diversity training and
collaboration.
