The Kennel Bookstore and the Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm
Market at California State University, Fresno are making holiday
shopping a little easier for Bulldog fans with open houses full of gift
ideas for friends and family.
The Kennel Bookstore’s 31st annual Holiday Open House Sale will be
Friday-Saturday, Dec. 4-5. All apparel, supplies, gifts, books and
Internet orders are 25 percent off and there are 50-67 percent
reductions on merchandise in a tent outside the store. The bookstore
will be open 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 4 and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 5. For more

The California Association of Viticulture and Enology Scholars at Fresno
State will hold a wine tasting 12- 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, as part of a
weekly series designed to provide the students enhanced learning
opportunities. The event at the Gibson Farm Market costs $2 per person
(must be 21 years old) to taste Fresno State Winery 2006 Sangiovese,
2007 Soleil Rosé, 2007 Barbera and 2007 Viognier.
The Gibson Farm Market will host its Holiday Open House 4-7 p.m. Friday,
Dec. 11, with samples of student-produced food and wine and special
prices on many items.
