Timeout at the 2008 New Mexico Bowl |
Two big events are planned by the Fresno State Alumni
Association to build Bulldog spirit among fans in Albuquerque, N.M., to
attend the New Mexico Bowl football matchup between Fresno State and
Wyoming on Saturday, Dec. 19.
A pep rally is scheduled at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at the Albuquerque
Marriott (2101 Louisiana Blvd. NE), the Bulldog team headquarters for
the bowl.
Joining the festivities will be Coach Pat Hill, the Fresno State Bulldog
Marching Band, the Spirit Squad and TimeOut. Free hors d'oeuvres will be
served and there will be a no-host bar.
The Bulldog tailgate tradition travels to Albuquerque for food, drink
and a chance to get together with other alumni before the kickoff of the
nationally televised game. The Fresno State Alumni Association New
Mexico Bowl Tailgate begins at noon (Mountain Standard Time) in the
tailgate area just north of the University of New Mexico’s University
Stadium.
The Marching Band, Spirit Squad and TimeOut will be there to get folks
ready to root for the Bulldogs.
The barbecue menu includes beef brisket, chicken, pinto beans, potato
salad, green chile stew, baked sweets and beer and wine (must be at
least 21). Cost is $35 for adults; $30 for Alumni Association members;
and $15 for children 12 and younger).
The tailgate will conclude at 2 p.m., a half-hour before game time.
Reservations for both events can be made by calling Peggy Ramos at
559.278.2586 or e-mailing
peggyr@csufresno.edu. Space at the tailgate also can be reserved
online at

The deadline for pep rally reservations is Thursday, Dec. 17.
