The ninth annual Fresno State Winemaster's Weekend
will be held March 5-6 at the Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite, where experts on
grapevine grafting and pairing wines with fine chocolate will be
featured attractions this year.
The four-diamond resort in the Sierra National Forest, just two miles
south of the Highway 41 entrance to Yosemite National Park, partners
with California State University, Fresno’s Department of Viticulture and
Enology for the two-day affair.
Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology students and
faculty involved in Fresno State farm enterprises will showcase their
products and programs at the event, which draws wine and food
aficionados from throughout the country.
The two-night Winemaster's Weekend Package starts at $330 per night, for
two persons. Included are accommodations (March 5 and 6), a welcome
winetasting reception (March 5), and three hands-on workshops,
winemaster's reception and the five-course gourmet dinner paired with
wines from the Fresno State Winery (all on March 6).
