Special Event -- Saturday 29th -- Zara ArboledaThe Fresno State Alumni Association's Homecoming Tailgate is scheduled for 3- 6:30pm on Saturday at Bulldog Diamond. The tailgate menu, catered by Bulldog Brewery, features tri-tip, chicken, green beans, rice pilaf, green salad and a soft drink. The Fresno State Alumni Band will provide entertainment. Zara Arboleda, one of the hosts of KSEE, Channel 24's Sunrise Show, will serve as tailgate emcee. In addition, a bounce house and clown will provide entertainment for the children. Tailgate tickets are $7 for members and $10 for non-members, $5 for students and $5 for children twelve and under. Tickets can be purchased by calling 559-278-2586 until Wednesday, and limited tickets will be available at the door. Fresno State's Homecoming Week is Sept. 24-29

Homecoming Week 2001 at California State University, Fresno begins Sept. 24 and culminates with the Alumni Association Tailgate prior to the Bulldogs’ football game vs. the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs on Saturday, Sept. 29.

7-10 a.m. Free Speech Area (by Carl’s Jr.). Staff Assembly will introduce the Homecoming Chair, Terrance Mayes. Meet Coach Hill and Bulldog players as well as Spirit Team and Time Out!

Opening Ceremonies

Noon – Memorial Gardens

Homecoming Chair, Terrance Mayes will introduce the Homecoming committee and sponsors. There will be a pizza-eating contest sponsored by Papa John’s Pizza.

 

Tuesday 25th

Pie Eating Contest

Noon – Memorial Gardens

 

Homecoming Comedy Show @ 7:30 p.m. Satellite Student Union. Hosted by B-95’s André Covington with comedian J-Lamont and more.

Wednesday 26th

Dunk Tank and Bone Toss Competition

Noon – Memorial Gardens. Dunk the Louisiana Tech student and win prizes in the Bone Toss competition.

Thursday 27th

The Weakest Link Game Show

Noon – Several Fresno State students competeKopi Sotirpolous to be called the strongest link. Hosted by KMPH, Channel 26's Kopi Sotiropulos. Homecoming Late Night Jams Concert @ 6p.m. South Patio (The Pit)

 

Friday 28th

Break Dancing Performance

Pep Rally

5 p.m. Old Softball Field. Prizes include $150 for club or organization in most red and $150 for club or organization most spirited.
