Pink Zone returns to build breast cancer awareness
Everyone’s encouraged to wear pink when the Bulldogs women’s basketball team hosts Western Athletic Conference rival Nevada at 5 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Save Mart Center.
It’s the annual Pink Zone game, with $1 from every ticket sold donated to the Central Valley affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which endows breast cancer research and awareness.
Tickets start at $5 for adults and can be purchased through Ticketmaster (call 559.485.TIXS) or at the Save Mart Center Box Office.
Second lacrosse season begins with exhibition
The Fresno State lacrosse team hosts the Fresno Men’s Club Team at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 at Bulldog Stadium, in an exhibition tune-up for the Bulldogs’ second season of competition.
The team will sign autographs after the match.
Admission is free but all who attend are encouraged to bring a canned food donation to benefit the Central Valley Food Bank.

Bulldog softball season begins Feb. 12
Softball’s 2010 season begins nonconference play at Bulldog Diamond when defending Western Athletic Conference Champion Fresno State hosts Santa Clara at 6 p.m. Feb. 12.
The Bulldogs’ kickoff softball tournament follows with Fresno State hosting Pacific at noon and Sacramento State at 2 p.m. on Feb. 13 and repeating that schedule Feb. 14.

Bulldog baseball home opener Feb. 19
The Fresno State baseball team will open its 2010 season on Feb. 19, when it begins a four-game series against the Big 12’s Nebraska.
First pitch is 6 p.m. Feb. 19 and 22, 2 p.m. Feb. 20 and 1 p.m. Feb. 21.

Bulldog men’s basketball on TV three times this month
Three men’s basketball games will be broadcast during February, two on the Bulldog Sports Network (KAIL, Channel 7.1) and one on ESPNU.
The Bulldog Sports Network will air Fresno State’s Western Athletic Conference games at Hawai’i (9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6) and Nevada (7 p.m. Feb. 17), each preceded by “Hittin’ the Hardwood” 30 minutes before gametime.
When Fresno State visits San Jose State at 7 p.m. Feb. 27, ESPNU will offer coverage of the WAC matchup.
All Fresno State men’s basketball are broadcast live on KMJ, AM 580.
Paul Loeffler will handle the play-by-play, while Randy Rosenbloom provides color commentary.
Bulldog women’s basketball on radio
Four Fresno State women’s basketball games will air this month on ESPN Radio The Deuce 790 AM as the Bulldogs wind down regular season play in defense of their Western Athletic Conference championship.
The February radio schedule begins at 7 p.m. Feb. 10, when Fresno State hosts Idaho.
The other broadcasts are at 5 p.m. Feb. 13 vs. New Mexico State, 4 p.m. Feb. 17 at Utah State and 5 p.m. Feb. 24 at Louisiana Tech.
