Plenty of opportunities to watch Bulldog baseball
Fresno State baseball kicks into high gear this month as the Bulldogs work through a busy preconference schedule to get ready to challenge for a Western Athletic Conference championship and a trip to the NCAA postseason tournament.
Here’s the lineup at Pete Beiden Field:

  • 6:05 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, vs. CSU Bakersfield.
  • 6:05 p.m. Friday, March 5, vs. Oregon.
  • 2:05 p.m. Saturday, March 6, vs. Oregon (doubleheader).
  • 1:05 p.m. Sunday, March 7, vs. Oregon.
  • 6:05 p.m. March 9 vs. Santa Clara.
  • 6:05 p.m. March 19 vs. Loyola Marymount.
  • 2:05 p.m. March 20 vs. Loyola Marymount (doubleheader).
  • 1:05 p.m. March 21 vs. Loyola Marymount.
  • 6:05 p.m. March 26 vs. UC Davis.
  • 6:05 p.m. March 27 vs. UC Davis.
  • 2:05 p.m. March 28 vs. UC Davis.

Softball fans can get their fill in just one week in March, watching the high-regarded Bulldogs play a grueling eight games in the span of just seven days as the tune up in defense of their Western Athletic Conference championship for another shot at postseason play.

The packed schedule begins with a doubleheader at 6 p.m. March 10 vs. East Carolina.
March 11 is the beginning of the Bayer Crop Science Classic at Bulldog Diamond. Fresno State’s tournament schedule:  

  • 7 p.m. March 11 vs. East Tennessee State.
  • 7 p.m. March 12 vs. Colorado State.
  • 4:30 p.m. March 13 vs. Cal State Northridge.
  • 7 p.m. March 13 vs. Georgetown.
  • 2 p.m. March 14 vs. Mississippi.

The March 13 games offer special deals for Fresno State faculty and staff -- $2 general admission tickets with valid Fresno State faculty/staff ID at the Bulldog Diamond box office. There is a limit of four  discounted tickets per ID.
At 6 p.m. March 16, the Bulldogs battle the Ivy League’s Princeton in Fresno State’s 7th annual Domestic Violence Awareness Night. It’s also a Two for Tuesday ticket promotion night: Buy one ticket and get one of equal or lower value free.

Fresno State’s lacrosse team plans three matches during March in Bulldog Stadium, beginning with Detroit, which also is in just its second season of competition and is the only Division 1 women’s lacrosse team in Michigan.

That game begins at 4 p.m. March 11. The Bulldogs host Iona at 7 p.m. March 17 and Cincinnati at 4 p.m. March 23.

Bulldog men’s and women’s tennis offers five matches during March to whet fans’ appetites. The men play in the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center on campus at 5 p.m. March 12 against Cal Poly and at noon March 14 vs. New Mexico. Women’s tennis will host Harvard at noon March 20 and return to the courts at 6 p.m. that day when Pacific visits. SMU will play the Bulldogs at 1 p.m. March 27.

 

Junior Bulldog Kids Club has offers for youngsters
The Junior Bulldog Kids Club is available to children 8th grade and under at a cost of $25, which covers admission to more than 40 Fresno State athletic events this spring. Membership benefits include the official Junior Bulldog Kids Club t-shirt, a credential, a weekly e-mail newsletter from TimeOut and free admission to all baseball, lacrosse and softball home games.
