Baseball has busy schedule during May
It’s a busy windup to the regular season at Beiden Field for the Bulldog baseball team and special promotions are scheduled to help stretch entertainment dollars and recognize today’s precollege players.

The Fresno State May baseball schedule:

Saturday, May 1, vs. Dallas Baptist at 6:05 p.m.
Tuesday, May 4, vs. Cal Poly, 6:05 p.m.
May 14 vs. San Jose State, 6:05 p.m.
May 15 vs. San Jose State, 2:05 p.m. (doubleheader)
May 16 vs. San Jose State, 1:05 p.m.
May 21 vs. Sacramento State, 6:05 p.m.
May 22 vs. Sacramento State, 2:05 p.m. (doubleheader)
May 23 vs. Sacramento State, 1:05 p.m.

The May 4, game against Cal Poly is Two for Tuesday opportunity with tickets available on a buy one get one free (equal or lower price) basis. May 16 is Youth Baseball Day, with $5 tickets available, which includes a seat for the game, 
hot dog, bag of chips and soda. Teams can take the field for the National Anthem. Tickets must be ordered through Group Sales at 244.5621. The deadline is May 14. All other ticket information is available at GoBulldogs.com.

Softball preps for post-season play
Fresno State has only two home dates on the May schedule, but one will offer a special promotional price for faculty and staff and it’s a doubleheader as the Bulldogs play their final regular season games before the Western Athletic Conference tournament begins in Las Cruces, N.M., on May 12.

It will be Bulldogs vs. Bulldogs when WAC rival Louisiana Tech comes calling Friday and Saturday, May 7-8, for a three-game series.

The May 7 game begins at 8 p.m. at Bulldog Diamond and will be broadcast nationally by ESPNU.

First pitch for the May 8 doubleheader is at 1 p.m. It’s an opportunity for faculty and staff to attend for $2 for general admission tickets. Up to four of the discounted tickets are available to each faculty or staff member who presdents valid ID at the box office on game day.

Faculty/staff eligible for discounted season football tickets
Fresno State faculty/staff can purchase 2010 football season tickets at a 20 percent savings off general public tickets. The 2010 season features some major highlights. Let’s do them by the numbers:

• 2 – Bowl Championship Series schools – Cincinnati and Illinois – that will visit Bulldog Stadium for the first time.
• 7 – Home games on the Bulldogs’ 2010 schedule.
• 100 – Fresno State’s lucky number throughout its Centennial celebration, a special component of which comes at the Oct. 16 game against New Mexico State, which is homecoming and will be preceded by a parade on campus and the Tailgate of the Century.

All faculty/staff can purchase up to four season tickets for $140 each.

Football offers Family Plan season tickets
