(Chemistry, Emeritus) contributed to the article, “Don’t Try This at Home,” in the June issue of Wired magazine. The article was about the demise of chemistry sets and the government's push, on grounds of national security, to restrict access to chemicals at the very time that students' enthusiasm about science is waning. He also published "LSD: Catalyst for a Pharmacological Revolution" (with former Fresno State student G. Wayne Craig of Syngenta Aktiengesellschaft, Basel, Switzerland), "Genetics, Genomics, Proteomics and Bioinformatics," and "Chemical Sciences in the 20th Century: Bridging Boundaries," all in The Chemical Educator (Dec. 1); and "Candid Science V: Conversations with Famous Scientists," Angewandte Chemie: A Journal of the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker, International Edition (Dec. 8).
Robert Levine's
(Psychology) book, “A Geography of Time,” was included in a story about the changing relationship between Germans and time that appeared in The Economist’s Jan. 4 edition.
