WAC hoops tourney March 6-10 in New Mexico
Fresno State men’s and women’s basketball teams head to Las Cruces, N.M., from March 6-10, to compete in the 2007 Western Athletic Conference Tournament. Fans can follow all the action live online with Gametracker at gobulldogs.com. Men’s games will be broadcast on radio (KMJ, AM 580) and TV (KFRE, Ch. 59), with the championship contest March 10 on ESPN2. Women’s tournament games will be on radio (1430AM ESPN) and viewable for a fee through www.WAC.tv, which can be accessed from gobulldogs.com through the All-Access package. The women’s championship game March 10 will be broadcast on cable/satellite’s CSTV.
March Madness hits the Save Mart Center
Tickets remain for the 2007 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship Fresno Regional on March 24 and 26 at the Save Mart Center. Four teams will compete for in two games, with winners playing to determine which team will be in the tournament’s Final Four in Cleveland, Ohio. The other regionals are in Dayton, Ohio; Greensboro, N.C.; and Dallas. Ticket prices for the Fresno regional are $52 for adults; $27 for youths; and $40 for groups of 10 or more and are on sale at the Bulldog Ticket Office or online at www.gobulldogs.com.
Campus diamonds get a March workout
March is filled with Bulldog baseball and softball action. Fifteen teams will visit Beiden Field and Bulldog Diamond during March and each sport hosts an annual tournament. Fresno State softball competes against BYU, Colorado State, Penn State, Purdue and Toledo from March 8 to 11 in the Bulldog Classic presented by Bingham Toyota. Next up to bat is Fresno State baseball’s Pepsi Johnny Quik Classic from March 14 to 17, featuring the Bulldogs, Dallas Baptist and Iowa. Softball on TV and radio
Five Bulldog softball games will be broadcast on Comcast Channel 14, cable company’s community-access channel for the Fresno area. The broadcast schedule begins at 7 p.m. March 9 as Fresno State hosts Colorado. The other games are at 2 p.m. March 11 vs. Penn State, 6 p.m. March 21 vs. Ohio, 6 p.m. March 27 vs. Stanford and 6 p.m. March 30 vs. Utah State. All Fresno State home softball games are broadcast on radio (KFSR, FM 90.7, or 1430 AM ESPN).

Golf hosts 44th annual tourney
The men’s golf team will host the 44th annual Fresno State Lexus Golf Classic on March 12 and 13 at Sunnyside Country Club, 5704 E. Butler Ave., in southeast Fresno. The Bulldogs will compete in a strong field composed of Boise State, Cal State-Bakersfield, Cal State-Northridge, Hawaii, Kansas State, Nevada, New Mexico State, Oregon, Pacific, San Diego State, San Jose State, UC-Irvine, UTEP and Wyoming. Admission is free.
Cal-Nevada track and field meet is March 30-31
Track and field teams from all over both states will come to Fresno State the last weekend of March to compete in the California-Nevada State Collegiate Championships at Warmerdam Field. Tickets for March 30 competition are $6; for March 31, $10; and for a two-day pass, $15.
