Campaign moves past $51 million
The Campaign for Fresno State, whose theme is “Powering the New California,” had received commitments for nearly $51.3 million by March, 31, the end of the third quarter of this fiscal year. The total is a compilation of cash, in-kind gifts, philanthropic grants, pledges, deferred gifts and bequests received in the seven quarters since the university’s biggestfund-rPinnacle Society Dinneraising effort began. Pinnacle Society Dinner scheduled May 11
The Pinnacle Society Dinner, honoring people who have contributed $500,000 or more to Fresno State, will be held May 11 at the University House. The event will include presentation of the Foundation Award for the numerous contributions of the late Harold H. Haak, who was Fresno State president for 12 years and whose legacy includes his efforts to build bridges between campus and the community.

Donor appreciation event held in newest campus building
Donor Appreciation ReceptionMore than 700 people who contributed $2,500 or more to Fresno State the past year were invited to the Donor Appreciation Reception on April 12 at the new Water and Energy Technology Building. One highlight was a panel discussion with remarks by President John Welty, Dean Charles Boyer (Agricultural Sciences and Technology), executive director David Zoldoske (International Center for Water Technology) and CEO Craig Scharton (Central Valley Business Incubator/Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship). The discussion was moderated by Lucy Ruiz, community affairs director for KGPT, Channel 47.

Sarah WoodwardWoodward is new FSAA associate director
Sarah Woodward, an alumna, was appointed associate director of alumni relations for the Fresno State Alumni Association after a short tenure as the association’s marketing and membership director. Woodward is responsible for leading the association’s membership development program and for marketing efforts that enhance the visibility and outreach of the association and the university.
