Catch some rays at the ballpark in May
Seasons are drawing to a close for Bulldog baseball and softball teams, providing a few opportunities to take in some good Western Athletic Conference competition and fresh air and sunshine at the same time. The softball team hosts San Jose State at Bulldog Diamond at 6 p.m. Friday, May 4, and 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5 (doubleheader), which is Senior Day and Public Safety Day (fire engines and police cars on display for kids of all ages, $3 admission for children and free bike helmets for youth). Louisiana Tech visits Beiden Field for the conclusion of the baseball season at 6:05 p.m. May 11 and 12 and 1:05 p.m. May 13, which is Senior Day. Fresno State will host two WAC Championships
Fresno State will host this year’s Western Athletic Conference softball and track and field championships. Bulldog Diamond will be the site May 9-12 of the WAC Softball Tournament.  The tournament field will include the top seven teams, based on regular-season play. The WAC Outdoor Track Championship is scheduled May 9-12 at Warmerdam Field. Ticket details will be announced on gobulldogs.com.

Bulldog Foundation fund drive nears end
May marks the conclusion of the Bulldog Foundation fund drive. Scholarship donations benefit student-athletes now and in the years to come as their experience at Fresno State helps define their character and prepares them for future roles as community leaders, spouses and parents, and as teachers and coaches. Past support has provided academic assistance to more than 17,000 student-athletes. Click here for details.

Staff and Faculty Golf Tourney tees off May 23
The 11th annual Staff and Faculty Golf Tournament on May 23 at the Madera Municipal Golf Course is accepting registrations. The $65 entry fee includes a box lunch, beverage tickets and dinner. The tournament is open to faculty, staff, retirees and friends. Click here for details.

2007 football season tickets available
Season tickets are on sale for Fresno State’s home games in Bulldog Stadium. On the schedule are Sacramento State (Sept. 1), Louisiana Tech (Sept. 29), San Jose State (Oct. 20), Boise State (Oct. 26) and Kansas State (Nov. 24).
