Students seek support from new Fresno State call center
The Fresno State Annual Fund has established a call center in the Lab School and hired 30 students part-time to phone alumni, donors and friends seeking support for the university. Eric Hayes, the call center manager, says, "Our student callers are establishing rapport and securing several first-time gifts for Fresno State." Peter Robertson, director of annual giving, said students are successful because “they’re our best ambassadors.” Calls are made for all eight colleges and schools, the Division of Student Affairs and the Henry Madden Library.
