Charitable gift annuity helps students, provides income for life
Fresno State's charitable gift annuity provides a way to make a gift to the university that will have a positive impact on students, while also receiving a fixed, secure income for life for yourself or a loved one and an income tax deduction. Donors make an irrevocable transfer of cash or marketable securities and, in return, are paid a guarantee amount won't vary with interest-rate or stock-market fluctuations. Current rates are 5.5 percent (age 55), 6 percent (65), 7.1 percent (75) and 9.5 percent (85).
