Tenbergen, students plan fundraising gourmet dinner
Master chef Klaus Tenbergen (Culinology) and his "Cooking for Health" students plan the second annual Come Eat Our Homework fundraiser at 5 p.m. April 26 in the Vintage Room. The $50-a-person event - a six-course dinner prepared by the students and accompanied by music - benefits the student-operated Bulldog Pantry, an emergency feeding facility near campus. Kids Day seeks volunteers
Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in Kids Day on March 11. The one-day event benefits Children's Hospital Central California through sales of a special edition of The Fresno Bee for $1 on street corners throughout the central San Joaquin Valley. Last year approximately 975 people from the campus community participated, raising nearly $24,000 for the Madera hospital. To volunteer, contact Renee

The selection committee is asking faculty and staff to nominate Fresno State students who have made significant impact on our community through volunteer work for 2008 University Volunteer of the Year. Food Bank benefits from campus generosity
Campus donations sufficient to allow the Fresno Community Food Bank to purchase nearly $10,000 worth of food to feed the area's hungriest people were collected during the 10-day "Have a Heart" campaign that appealed to staff, faculty and students. USU Productions seeks student volunteers
Faculty and staff are asked to encourage student participation in USU Productions leadership by volunteering to sever in one of several campus event-planning capacities. Currently USU Productions needs student coordinators to head 10 committees. Four student coordinators are needed for comities of the USU Board of Directors.
