Brooks scholarship program sets example in campus giving
In establishing the Verna Mae Brooks Scholarships program, Wayne Brooks (Business, Emeritus) provided an example of ways to help students long after faculty and staff have left campus. Brooks taught at Fresno State from 1956 to '92, establishing the scholarships five years later in memory of his wife of 40 years. Since then, 15 students have received Brooks scholarships, each providing up to five years of financial aid. The Verna Mae Brooks awards are the highest-paying nonathletic scholarships available at Fresno State. Click here for more information.
