TennisWomen's tennis wins 7th straight WAC title, hosts NCAA regional
The Bulldog women's tennis team - ranked 16th in the nation - won its seventh consecutive Western Athletic Conference title and will host an NCAA regional tournament May 9-10. Simon Thibodeau was selected as WAC Coach of the Year. Fresno State will take on Lamar at 1 p.m. May 9 after Arizona State plays Sacramento State at 11 a.m. The winners advance to the regional championship at 1 p.m. May 10. Click here for details.

GolfWomen's golf makes history
The Fresno State women's golf team won its first Western Athletic Conference title, overcoming a seven-stroke deficit in the final round to defeat New Mexico State by seven strokes at Sunnyside Country Club in Fresno. The Bulldogs play May 8-10 at the NCAA Western Regionals hosted in Lincoln by Sacramento State. Coach Angie Cates earned her second WAC Coach of the Year honor and senior player Laura Leuthke her fourth First-Team All-WAC. Taylor Siebert earned Second-Team All-WAC. Click here for details.

Faculty/Staff nights ahead for baseball, softball
The final Faculty/Staff Nights of the 2008 season will take place Friday, May 2, at Fresno State softball and baseball games, and on May 9 at the baseball game against San Jose State. Fresno State faculty/staff can show their ID at the box office on game day and receive up to four discounted tickets ($4 for $8 reserved seats, $2 for $5 general).

Baseball looks for 3rd straight WAC title
The baseball Bulldogs will play at home the first two weekends of May to close out the regular home season. The 'Dogs host New Mexico State Friday-Sunday, May 2-4, and San Jose State May 9-11. Then Fresno State will travel to Ruston, La., May 22-25 trying to win its third straight Western Athletic Conference baseball title. On Saturday, May 3, it will be Youth Baseball Day at Beiden Field with free admission to players (Grade 8 and younger) in uniform. Click here for details.

Nationally ranked softball team prepares for postseason
The Fresno State softball team, ranked 10th in the nation, will finish regular season conference play at home against New Mexico State, Friday and Saturday, May 2 and 3. May 3 will be Public Safety Day, with a display of police and fire vehicles before the game and $2 tickets for all public safety officials, volunteers, families and friends. The Bulldogs will try to win their second straight Western Athletic Conference Tournament Championship from May 7 to 10 in Honolulu. Click here for details.

Bulldog softball on TV
Fresno State's final two home softball games will be broadcast on television. Comcast Cable's Channel 14 will carry the game against New Mexico State at 6 p.m. Friday, May 2. The doubleheader against the Aggies will air at 4:30 p.m. on CBS College Sports (formerly CSTV), which airs on cable and satellite systems. Fresno State softball and baseball broadcasts are streamed free online at www.gobulldogs.com.

Women's SwimmingFleck named women's swimming and diving coach
Jeanne Fleck, women's swimming and diving coach at Ohio State the last nine seasons, was named Fresno State's coach in the sport, which is returning to campus. "I am looking forward to and excited about becoming a part of the Fresno/Clovis community and working with swimmers in the San Joaquin Valley," said Fleck. Click here for details. Art available

Men's golf WAC Championship
The Fresno State men's golf team will compete in the 2008 WAC men's golf championship April 28-30 hosted by San Jose State at Cinnabar Hills Golf Club. Log on to www.gobulldogs.com for results.

Men's tennis team places second in WAC tournament
The Fresno State men's tennis team - ranked at No. 49 nationally - took second in the Western Athletic Conference Tournament for the third straight spring, losing to Hawai'i, which had upset top-seeded Boise State. Bulldog No. 1 player Rudy Siwy was named WAC Player of the Year and placed on the conference first team in singles and doubles (where he was joined by Mirko Zapletal). Click here for details.

Bullpup program introduces youth to campus
The Bulldog Foundation offers a special opportunity for young people to be introduced to the campus through a Bullpup membership. For $200, the donor designates a sport for which two season tickets will be donated to Valley youth groups. Golf tournament registration closes May 16
Registration is scheduled through May 16 for the 12th annual Faculty/Staff Golf Tournament, beginning at 1 p.m. May 28 at Fig Garden Golf Course.
