Earth Science Week

The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and the College of Science and Mathematics will be celebrating Earth Science Week Oct. 9-15. Events will include a community lecture, a “Meet an Earth Scientist” event, and activities for school classes from kindergarten through high school.

 

Earth Science Week is designed to help the public gain a better understanding and appreciation for the Earth Sciences and to encourage stewardship of the Earth. It is intended to promote understanding and appreciation of the value of Earth Science research and its applications and relevance to daily life.
