Campus ordered to close on Veterans Day
Governor Schwarzenegger recently signed AB 720, which added Section 89005.7 to the Education Code requiring CSU to observe Nov. 11, Veterans Day, as a holiday and to close the university on that day, starting in 2006. 

This is a holiday that our campus has previously celebrated during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day so that the campus could close for the entire week.

Moving the holiday back to November affects the number of instructional days in the fall semester as well as the days of closure during the holiday week.

Discussions are currently under way about options for the December holiday week. The campus will be notified as soon as a final decision is reached.
