Fall choir concert is Nov. 12 “How Can I Keep from Singing?” The old Quaker tune of that name is the theme of the fall choir concert to be held Saturday, Nov. 12. The performance will begin at 8 p.m. in the Concert Hall. Included in the performance will be the Concert Choir, Chamber Singers and Women’s Choir under the direction of Dr. Anna Hamre and student assistant Tammy Kenyon. Accompanists are Dr. Natasha Kislenko and Naira Shahsouvarian. Soloists will be Sasannah Efseaff, Brian Lummis and Aileen Robinson. The choirs will perform a wide variety of music, mostly on the topic of song and singing. The program will include music by Mozart, Bach, Dello Joio, Gwyneth Walker, John Blow, Jack Fortner, Leonard Bernstein, Randall Stroope, Carl Orff and others. Special guests will be the Fresno State Percussion Ensemble. Tickets are $7 general, $6 senior and $5 student. They are available online or at the box office.
