Pianist Garrick Ohlsson featured in Lorenz concert

The Philip Lorenz Memorial Keyboard Concerts, the Fresno Musical Club and the Educational Employees Credit Union will present pianist Garrick Ohlsson on Friday, Nov. 4, at 8 p.m. in the Concert Hall.

He will play works by Beethoven, Brahms, Korte and Smetana.

Ohlsson has established himself worldwide as a musician of interpretive and technical prowess. With a repertoire ranging over the entire piano literature and including some 80 piano concerti, the American artist is recognized for his “tasteful virtuosity, elegant sense of proportion, and the balance between intimacy and declamation” (The New York Times).
