International teaching opportunities available Applications are now invited for teaching during the academic year 2007-08 (fall or spring semester) and for four-to-six-week summer program teaching in 2007. Full-time professors in good standing who will return to teach at Fresno State after teaching abroad and who have chair and dean approval may apply. During the academic year, Visiting Professors receive their regular salary and benefits from Fresno State while they teach abroad with USAC. Partial replacement costs are offered to the department in the amount of $7,000. Summer teaching arrangements are handled differently and may provide more flexibility. Faculty propose the courses they want to teach following the USAC guidelines of topics appropriate for each location: two classes in a semester program or one class for a summer month. Faculty may teach using English or using the relevant foreign language. Teaching locations are Chile, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Ghana, Italy, Mexico, and Spain. Applications are due Feb. 3, 2006 to the International Programs Office, M/S FF83 for teaching in summer 2007 or academic year 2007-08.
