Fresno State’s Associated Students is teaming up with the Fresno County Economic Opportunity Commission to help needy Fresno County children this holiday through the 2005 Associated Students Toy Drive.

Fresno State students, clubs and organizations are encouraged to give back this holiday season by donating new toys for kids of all ages. Associated Students will reward the group who donates the most toys by hosting a group pizza party.

Juan Pablo Moncayo, Associated Students executive vice president, said the Fresno State community should give back to those less fortunate. “A lot of us have the ability to provide a better holiday season for these kids,” Moncayo said. “Our little sacrifice will make a big difference in their lives.” 

Generic items can be donated to the Associated Students office or groups and individuals can “pick a star,” representative of one of the 35 children participating in the toy drive.

The deadline for toy donations is Dec. 7.  All donations can be dropped off at the Associated Students office in University Student Union, Room 316.  For more information call Associated Students at 278.2656, e-mail alondralflores@gmail.com, or visit USU 316.
