Campus books in new temporary home

Fresno State President John D. Welty got his first look recently at the warehouse holding 900,000 volumes from the Madden Library during a $91-million redevelopment and expansion project. Library Dean Michael Gorman escorted Dr. Welty through the 80,000-square-foot warehouse in south Fresno that will be home to the books during the three-year library project. More...

 

Don Priest honored at CSU Media Arts Festival
Don Priest, chair of the Mass Communications and Journalism Department at California State University, Fresno, received the Rosebud Award on Saturday, Nov. 5, during the 2005 CSU Media Arts Festival at CSU Channel Islands in Camarillo. Priest received the festival’s prestigious award -- in recognition of the outstanding media arts faculty member in the entire CSU for service to its students and for noteworthy professional accomplishment -- during a special ceremony. Wide range of topics planned for International Coffee Hour series
The International Coffee Hour is held each Tuesday from 2-3 p.m. in the University Student Union, rooms 312-314. It is among the several programs sponsored by the International Student Services and Programs office to help international students to integrate into their new environment, and it enables the Fresno State community to have access to a great variety of cultures.
