Mihaela Ursuleasa takes Keyboard Concert spotlight
Romanian pianist Mihaela Ursuleasa will play a program of works by Beethoven, Shostakovich and Rachmaninoff at the next Philip Lorenz Memorial Keyboard Concert on Feb. 24 at Fresno State.

Ursuleasa’s emotional depth and technical expertise have won raves from critics throughout Europe and in the United States. Although just 27, Ursuleasa brings a lyrical talent of a musician with much more experience.

Ursuleasa established herself early, winning the prestigious Clara Haskil International Competition in Vevey, Switzerland, when she was just 16.

Since then, she has played in many of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe and North American, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, the Philharmonie in Cologne, Germany, Vienna's Konzerthaus, the Tonhalle in Zurich and Carnegie Hall in New York.
The Fresno performance will begin at 8 p.m. Feb. 24 in the Concert Hall.

Tickets cost $12.50 for general admission, $7 for seniors and $5 for students.
