March brings two Philip Lorenz Memorial Keyboard Concerts performances to the Fresno State Concert Hall during March. First is Eric Brelsford, a pianist from Tulare County whose career has included prize-winning performances since his teens. He will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, March 3, in the next series’ Festival of Fresno Pianists. When he was just 17, Brelsford opened the Keyboard Concerts 2001 season. He also has been a soloist with the Fresno Philharmonic and with Orpheus and the Tulare County Symphony. He is studying at the Cleveland Institute of Music in Ohio. For Friday’s concert, Brelsford has chosen a program of works by Bach/Busoni, Clementi, Chopin, Debussy and Rachmaninoff. Tickets are $10 general, $6 seniors, and $4 students. At 3 p.m. March 12, Gillian Weir, an internationally acclaimed organist, will play a varied program co-sponsored by the San Joaquin Valley Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Works by Mozart, Scarlatti, J.S. Bach, Schnizer, Hindemith, Françaix, Gade, Vierne and Jongen are on the program. Tickets for the organ concert are $12.50 general, $7 seniors, $5 students.
